Going social
Using Facebook? Don’t forget to measure.
By using a feature on Facebook called Page Insights, you can measure the performance of your page, optimize how you publish and learn to better engage your audience.
Start by clicking on the Insights tab on the lower right side of your admin panel. The four metrics at the top of the tab enable you to understand the size and engagement of your audience. Watch these to gauge the success of your marketing strategy.
Next, drill down to look at each individual post to see the reach (how many people saw it), engagement (how many unique people clicked on the post), and how many people talked about it with their friends (“liking,” commenting or sharing your post).
With this data, you can see which types of posts help you reach your objectives and can optimize how you post: Do fans respond better to videos or pictures? Do they engage more with themes? Do they “like” more when you comment on pictures rather than ask questions?
And that’s only the beginning. So take time to learn more and make Page Insights part of your Facebook management practice.
